We all have that one eyesore in our yard that drives us crazy! For some, its an air conditioning unit, for others the garbage cans. For us; the ugly trampoline in the corner. Although there was no way to completely hide its existence, we did find a way to blend it into the background.
Although this photo is taken from our deck (a higher elevation), from the ground, a large portion of the trampoline is hidden from sight. We put railings that matched our deck on either side of a stationary gate that the roses climb up. This frames in the corner of the yard and creates a hidden space for the kids and grandkids (yes, we have grandkids!) to jump and play.
Next year, our youngest child will be fifteen, and we have decided to reclaim our space! The trampoline will be given a new home, and as a result of our careful planning, we now have the perfect spot for an outdoor living room or fire pit.
Check in next spring to see if all of the ideas in our heads actually pan out!
