AERIAL AND HAND-HELD DRONES ARE A MUST WHEN SELLING YOUR HOME

In our very competitive real estate market, it is imperative not only to reach potential buyers, but that you capture their attention. One of the most innovative ways is by adding drone footage to your property videos. We have two new additions to our collection of video equipment which we believe has helped our listings reach more buyers

Handheld Drones

Although it is not practical to fly a drone through a house (ask my houseplants after Claude’s first trial), the DJI Osmo is a handheld stabilized camera, with three-axis gimbal, and grip, that shoots 4K video, giving you the capability of “floating”, drone-like video of the interior of your home, without the risk of flying a machine indoors. This fluid stabilized video footage really helps buyers understand the flow of your home.

Don’t Underestimate Social Media when Selling Your Home

Even in today’s very instantaneous, high-tech world, there are still those with the view that all you need to do to sell a property is take a few pictures and put them on the MLS. Yes, if a Buyer is already looking at the specific area, with that exact criteria inputed into a system, they will receive notification of a new listing. However, one thing Claude and I have discovered over the last decade or two of selling real estate is that a Buyer rarely purchases exactly what they start out looking for.

How to Make Sure a Buyer Chooses Your Home.

What will make a Buyer decide to write an offer on your home versus another? If two properties are very similar in size, location and price, it comes down to Selling a Lifestyle

One of the main reasons a buyer feels it’s time to move is the need for a bigger house. Most likely, they are living in a home that has too little storage space, and as a result is cramped and unorganized. This chaos spills over into their daily life. Being unorganized means it takes longer to find coats, school bags, matching socks and sports gear, resulting in a family is always running late. Then the “blame game” begins; the laundry room is too small, there is no room for hockey equipment, shoes and jackets are spilling out from the closet.

Listing Your House In Spring

Why February just may be the best time for you to list your home in Alberta.

We have all seen the signs of spring in our communities. As Alberta homeowners slowly emerge from their winter cocoons and blink weakly at the tepid sun, a brilliant array of “For Sale” signs decorate the slushy streets, brightening the fields of brown grass and barely-budded branches.

Traditionally, the spring real estate rush began at the end of March, with the market in full swing by April and May. The same lack of snow and the warm weather that creates a “spring cleaning” itch also prompts buyers to see visions of a new home.

Christina is Now a Certified Professional in Social Marketing!

It has been many years since Christina graduated from NAIT with a Marketing Diploma, and Social Media didn’t even exist back then. Now, Social Media is the most important avenue available for promoting our properties. Unlike Print and Radio Advertising, Social Media such as Facebook, Instagram, Google+ & Twitter offer opportunities for 2-Way Interaction. Instead of just receiving information, a potential buyer can now show interest, ask questions, and share listings with others. Using Social Media, we are able to target specific markets and get your property out to potential buyers, answer questions they may have, and encourage them to book a viewing of your home.

Our Pumpkin Patch is Growing!

As many parents find out, the craziness of Halloween week can reek havoc with your normal, busy week. Shopping for or making costumes, baking treats for your child’s class, decorating the lawn and carving pumpkins while driving your kids to lessons and practices can be overwhelming!

Several years ago, when our girls were both heavily into dance, youth group, and piano lessons, I sat down with my calendar, desperately trying to figure out when we would carve our pumpkins. There wasn’t a free evening anywhere! During one of the girl’s many practices, I wandered into Michaels and found the answer to my prayers! I purchased two artificial pumpkins and showed my daughters when I picked them up. They were apprehensive; pumpkin carving was a big part of our Halloween tradition, but they both began to discuss the designs they would create.
